Before joining Flowers Davis, Ha practiced immigration law at her own firm, Ha H. Kummerfeld PLLC. She led the immigration practice at Potter Minton and served as Of Counsel for immigration matters to Houston-based law firms. Ha also clerked for The Honorable Judith K. Guthrie, United States Magistrate Judge for the Eastern District of Texas.

Personal Background

Ha immigrated to the United States from Vietnam at a young age and was raised in San Antonio. She earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas at Austin and her law degree from South Texas College of Law.

During law school, Ha interned at the Office of the Attorney General of Texas and worked at the J. Frank Evans Center for Conflict Resolution.

Pro Bono and Community Service

Ha is passionate about civil rights, social action, human rights, and disaster relief. Her pro bono work includes:

  • Successfully obtaining special immigrant juvenile status for an unaccompanied minor from El Salvador
  • Securing asylum for a Rwandan asylee
  • Providing legal assistance to indigent individuals in family law matters, including guardianships and serving as an attorney ad litem
