OUR TEAM

John (“Jack”) Rawls Fulgham practices in the areas of Defense of Governmental Entities, Insurance Defense and Tax Planning. Jack brings a strong background in taxation matters, having obtained a Master of Personal Financial Planning degree simultaneously with his Juris Doctor degree at Texas Tech University. After being admitted to the State Bar of Texas, he continued his education with a Master of Laws in Taxation degree from Georgetown University Law Center.

Prior to joining Flowers Davis, Jack served as Senior Associate in the Mergers and Acquisitions Tax Division of PriceWaterhouseCooper, where he performed tax due diligence and drafted reports on C Corps, S Corps and partnerships targeted for strategic acquisition by private equity or corporate entities. He also prepared legal entity restructuring and reorganization plans for domestic and multinational corporations.

While gaining his degrees, Jack worked as a staff member at the Texas Tech University Tax Center, as a legal intern at Flowers Davis PLLC, and as an oil and gas acquisitions intern at Royalty Clearinghouse Ltd. In those roles, he gained invaluable experience in tax court petitions and tax compliance, drafting briefs for the Supreme Court of Texas and federal district court in defense of governmental entities, and assisted attorneys in title curative matters.
