Lee Correa has been a Litigation Attorney for Flowers Davis since 2010. Her practice focus is on governmental entity defense, specifically as it pertains to government officials and law enforcement. Her practice also includes first-party and third-party litigation for major insurance carriers, business litigation, hazmat-related litigation, entity formation and structuring, and collection litigation on behalf of business clients. Lee also serves as general counsel for businesses, advising them on employment, contract and real estate matters.

During law school, Lee served as a law clerk to United States Magistrate Judge Judith K. Guthrie in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Texas. She also served as an intern with the Lone Star Legal Aid Office in Tyler, Texas.  Lee was appointed to the City of Tyler, Civil Service Commission in 2018 and continues to serve on the Commission today.  She has presented at numerous educational seminars and conferences, including the Sheriffs’ Association of Texas Annual Conference, Women in Criminal Justice, Sheriffs’ Administrative Assistants Conference, New Sheriffs’ School, Tyler Area Association of Legal Professionals, and numerous individual Counties.

Lee grew up in Tyler, Texas.  She gained a respect for law enforcement at a young age as her father served as a Tyler Police Officer for 20 years.  She graduated from Texas A&M University and worked her way up from filing clerk to paralegal at Flowers Davis.  Lee left the firm to attend law school at South Texas College of Law, Houston.  Upon graduation, she returned to Flowers Davis and has thoroughly enjoyed providing law enforcement officers and County officials with a strong defense.  Lee is married to Cory Shepherd and lives in Tyler with their two dogs, Chiquita and Beatrice.
