Caren Courtney practices in the Oil & Gas Title Opinions and Real Estate Law Sections of the firm.  Most of Caren’s oil and gas clients are corporations, but she occasionally works for individuals as well.  Her oil and gas practice is focused on preparing Drill Site Title Opinions and Division Order Title Opinions and generally supporting the field crews doing the work.   Her real estate practice is focused primarily on title examination and title curative for clients of East Texas Title Companies. 

Before attending law school, Caren worked as an Independent Petroleum Landman for eight years, and her clients appreciate her first-hand knowledge of their business needs.  She began private practice emphasizing general civil litigation, including oil and gas matters, real estate, oil and gas title opinions, probate, and ad litem matters.
